Ms. Shirley Fifield, Office assistant

Shirley is a long-time member of All Saints Episcopal Church, joining shortly after moving to Montgomery.  Since retiring from the Alabama Department of Public Health, she has assisted All Saints in various capacities.  She is currently the Clerk of the Vestry and helps keep the office in working order.  A native of Wisconsin, Shirley grew up in Dodgeville and earned a degree from Beloit College.  Outside of the church, she enjoys gardening and studying wildflowers.  Her floral expertise is regularly on display behind the altar during the liturgy at All Saints.


The Right Reverend John McKee Sloan, Bishop of Alabama

Bishop Sloan was invested as the Eleventh Bishop of Alabama in January after serving as Bishop Suffragan of the diocese since 2008.  Kee, as he is known across the diocese, has spiritual oversight over 34,000 Episcopalians worshiping in the 90 congregations of the Diocese of Alabama, which covers the northern, central, and Black Belt regions of the state.  He is particularly known for his storytelling and introduction of Special Session at Camp McDowell, a week-long camp session that serves around 100 people with mental and physical disabilities.  A native of Vicksburg, MS, he served several congregations in Mississippi before being called to Alabama.  He holds a B.A. from Mississippi State and an M.Div. from the School of Theology at the University of the South in Sewanee, TN.
